Support for small businesses in South Glos

Cool Ventures has been supporting businesses for 15 years and provide practical, friendly advice to help people start, develop and grow their businesses. Through the South Gloucestershire Business Support Service, local businesses and residents can access support completely free of charge – fully funded by South Gloucestershire Council

Support includes:

• One-to-one business advice and reviews
• Practical workshops and webinars on topics including marketing, finance, AI, HR and business growth
• Support for people thinking about starting a business or in the early stages of self-employment
• More intensive support for established businesses looking to grow
• Opportunities to connect with other local businesses

The team works with businesses across South Gloucestershire and is particularly keen to ensure that people who may not normally access business support are aware of what is available.

You can find out more about Cool Ventures and the support available on their website: Homepage - Cool Ventures or view the list of support sessions taking place in Sep-Nov 2026.
